Frequently Asked Questions About Hospice Care
Hospice services are fully covered under both Medicare and Medi-Cal. At Hospice of Pristine Care, we accept this coverage in full, which means there are no out-of-pocket costs for our patients or their families. For any care not related to the patient’s primary hospice diagnosis, standard Medicare and Medi-Cal benefits still apply.
The Hospice of Pristine Care Team is made up of skilled, compassionate professionals dedicated to supporting the well-being of our patients and their families. Working closely with patients and their loved ones, our team collaborates to create a personalized care plan that meets each individual’s unique needs. Our care team includes:
- Physicians: Work in partnership with the patient’s primary doctor and are available for expert guidance in pain and symptom management.
- Health Aides: Assist with personal care such as bathing and mobility, and can also help with light housekeeping, laundry, and occasional errands.
- Nurses: Deliver hands-on medical care and are specially trained in pain assessment and symptom management.
- Social Workers: Provide emotional support, help with financial and practical concerns, and serve as compassionate, trustworthy listeners.
- Volunteers: Specially trained in hospice care, our volunteers offer their time and presence when families need it most.
- Counselors and Clergy: Offer spiritual and emotional guidance for patients and their families, respecting all beliefs and traditions.
